Scope and Content
Alpha Girls is a collection of three cyber performances by internationally acclaimed Canadian performance artists: Kinga Araya, Louise Liliefeldt, and Tanya Mars. In collaboration with each artist, filmmaker, Midi Onodera has directed and designed each performance with unique interactive possibilities. The theme of the DVD examines advancing technologies within a feminist framework. Includes the following: 1- Grounded (III), a performance by Kinga Araya (3 min., 45 sec.). 2- Quarter After, a performance by Louise Liliefeldt (5 min., 53 sec.). 3- My Dinner with Woofie, a performance by Tanya Mars (16 min., 42 sec.). Directed by Mini Onodera.
