Mama Quilla II eventually became Parachute Club (officially changed name in 1983). Mama Quilla II headlined concert at first ever Bi-National Lesbian Conference in Toronto in 1979 (conference organized by LOOT). Mama Quilla II was one of the first groups classifed as "Womyn's music" to play electric instruments, in a genre dominated by acoustic instruments and little or no amplification.
