Notes
This booklet explores South Asian histories in Canada, starting with the Komagata Maru (1914) and moving into snapshots of South Asian commmunities today. The histories and stories are not an attempt to be exhaustive or deinitive of South Asian communities' struggles, victories, perspectives or experiences. Rather this booklet is a compilation of some of the Brown Canada project's work and findings from discussions with diverse communities that took place from September 2011-June 2012. The content of this book emerged from research and community conversations held across the province, in focus groups, and in creative workshops attended by diverse South Asians and allies, aged 7 to 85...
